As with other concert organisers, income from ticket sales alone falls some way short of meeting the expenses incurred in promoting each concert, including venue hire, security, medical and staging, in addition to the costs of the musicians themselves.
The funding provided by our generous and supportive WCS Friends is therefore critical to our continued ability to promote our concerts, and to maintaining the consistently high performance standards we set ourselves.
To facilitate this, the Wotton Concert Series is now registered with the Charity Commission as a charity, our aim - funds permitting - being to organise three classical music concerts a year.
As a registered charity all individual donations now qualify for Gift Aid.
